Privacy Policy
How information is handled when you use the Radstock Working Men’s Club website.
This website is operated by Radstock Working Men’s Club. We only collect personal information when it is needed to provide a service, respond to an enquiry or protect the website from misuse.
Information we collect
If you use a website form, we collect the information you choose to provide. The general contact form can include your name, email address, phone number, enquiry type and message. The function room form can additionally include a preferred event date, event type, expected guest numbers and room preferences. Basic technical information such as your IP address may also be processed by our web host as part of normal server and security logging.
How we use your information
Information submitted through the website forms is used to read and respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss function room availability or booking arrangements. We do not sell your personal information or use form details for unrelated marketing.
Cookies and external services
The core website does not require advertising or analytics cookies. Temporary session cookies may be used by the forms for security purposes. The website uses Cloudflare Turnstile on public forms to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated spam; Cloudflare processes technical information needed to provide that security check, but not the contents of your enquiry. The Contact page offers an optional Google Maps view, and the What’s On page offers an optional full Google Calendar view. Google Maps and the embedded Google Calendar are not loaded until you choose to load them. Upcoming event titles, dates and times can also be read by the website server from the club’s public calendar feed so they can be displayed in the club’s own design. The History page may display licensed or public-domain heritage images hosted by services such as Wikimedia Commons or Geograph, so those services may receive normal technical request information when those images load. Links may also take you to external services such as Facebook, Google Maps or archive websites, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Data retention
Enquiries may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond and manage any related club business or booking discussion. Server security logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s operational policies.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including the right to request access, correction or deletion. To make a request, contact radstockwmc@yahoo.co.uk.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information submitted through the website. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but the website is designed to collect as little personal data as practical.
Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated if the website or the way we handle information changes.
